The GlassBuild America was held on the exhibition site of the city of Las Vegas, USA from the 19^th to 21^st September 2006.

The fair, which is held annually, again achieved a participant record with about 350 exhibitors on an exhibition area of about 200,000 square meters. The current economic thrust in the construction field in the USA was quite noticeable. In the fields of glass, windows, doors and facades, GlassBuild offers visitors and exhibitors an impressive international platform for new technologies, industrial trends and market innovations. It attracts visitors and companies from all over the world and has developed into a permanently recurring meeting point in the construction field.

As in previous years, CAD-PLAN was represented at this exhibition. We presented the new versions of ATHENA, flixo and SJ-MEPLA. Since energy prices have risen considerably, the complexity of the facades has also increased and therefore also the requirement for using high performance software products for their construction and analysis. With our product range tailored to these requirements, this development benefits us, of course; there was keen interest amongst the fair visitors.

The further development of ATHENA in the sections of sheet editing, 2D- and 3D-construction won wide acclaim and aroused a great deal of visitor interest.  We were able to make important contact to potential customers and had some very interesting meetings. And it was a great pleasure to find that many more people in the USA had become familiar with ATHENA.

We are looking forward to taking part in the next GlassBuild America in September 2007 in Atlanta.
