New version: ATHENA 2009

Now, the time has finally arrived - ATHENA 2009 will be immediately delivered. A fundamentally new feature is the multifunction bar with which many users will already be familiar as the command navigator from AutoCAD 2007 and 2008. All tools and options are clearly grouped in so-called ribbons, which means that the desired commands are accessible with a minimum of clicks, enabling more efficient drawing production. Furthermore, there are some great new functions and existing dialog boxes have been optimized to ensure more productive designing and planning.

Here are just a few of the innovations:

  • Approximately 10,000 standard parts have been added (now about 72,000), e.g. precision steel tube, new Halfen channels and Halfen bolts, new straight, threaded and doweled pins, new EJOT self-drilling, sealed and countersunk timber screws.
  • The command "Facade elevation" has been completely reworked and offers expanded options for the input of raw shell sizes, the spacing of mullions and transoms, and the automatic insertion of butt joints on mullions in dependence of their supplied length.
  • Drilled holes are now also available in inch sizes and can be saved.
  • With sheet metal sections the coated side can now be marked and terminating folds assigned.
  • For creating assembly plans, a wire model with position numbers and label texts on the axes can be generated from a 3D model.
  • The new 2D interface to LogiKal facilitates the generation of components such as windows or doors from LogiKal master data directly in ATHENA. The generated components are intelligent, they can be modified dimensionally or edited with a double click; sections can also be generated.
  • For international planning, the compatibility of drawing data between the metric system and the imperial (inch) system has again been optimized.
  • A 64 bit version is available (under Windows XP/Vista 64 Bit and AutoCAD 64 Bit), which is primarily advantageous when processing larger 3D designs.
  • And there is lots more! You will be surprised!
