You can change the display modes for Athena 3D drawings. There are four different display modes.

Axis: Displays the Center lines or Objects. 

Simple: Displays a rectangular view of the Objects, shows the outer lines without all the detail.

Construction: Shows a more detailed view of the Object.

Complete: Shows the complete Object with all lines

No matter what view you choose to display, the object retains all of its functionality. The object will still apply to the wire frame, it will still cut just like a regular part.
